Proxy Support for Widgets

Hi all,
I'd love to be able to use the weather widgets etc. while my laptop is connected to my uni network - but the problem is that I need to incorporate proxy authentication in order to have the widget update the weather. Does anyone know whether it's possible to include this in widgets, and how it might be done? I know I'll probably have to start from scratch rather than modify the existing ones, but it'll be a nice challenge!

If the widget uses the IE ActiveX control to obtain the weather it will used the IE proxy settings. I don't know of an easy way to ID weather(or any Internet) widget that is using the IE ActiveX control. I do know that I used it for my Wicked Weather widget.

That's great - thanks! And yours is so good, I think I'll just use that one!
